Village Greens Working Party Sunday 22nd April 2012

Thank you to everyone who took part!

Many hands made light work of our annual greens tidy up session.  They are now looking wonderful and have set us up nicely for the gardening season ahead.

A good opportunity too to meet new neighbours, we hope to see you at other events throughout the summer.

Easenhall Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

Monday, 4th June 2012

Planning for our Diamond Jubilee celebrations is well underway.  Following the very successful format of the Royal Wedding celebrations in 2011, the Diamond Jubilee celebration will take place on the cricket field with a family fun afternoon followed by a grown-up event in the evening.

More detail will be discussed at the Village Community meeting on Thursday, 3rd May.  The planning group would welcome your support and suggestions.  Click here to get in touch.

Easenhall Horticultural Show, Fete & Dog Show

Saturday, 1 September 2012

2.30pm on the cricket field

This very popular date on the village social calendar has been set this year for Saturday, 1st September.

This is the biggest event in our social calendar and we welcome visitors from the surrounding area to join us.

The horticultural show tent will again be a marvellous spectacle, full of local garden produce, crafts, baking, flowers and the ever-imaginative children's classes.  Entries are welcomed from all - this is very much an open show enjoyed just as much for the taking part as for the winning.  This year's men's cookery class will be cheese straws to the recipe stated in the show schedule.  Who will take the coveted men's trophy this year?

The fete will include a mix of traditional stalls and family fun.  Come and enjoy homemade afternoon tea served from the pavilion.

The dog show is a novelty, fun show and again is open to all.  Entries are taken on the day from 2.30pm at the show ring.  Come and grab a seat on a bale and watch the classes take place throughout the afternoon.  The show culminates in the awarding of the Christine Duff trophy for Most Successful Dog in Show at the end of the afternoon.

Full horticultural and dog show schedule of classes will appear here soon.
