at Welkin Farm on the birth of their baby girl Amber.
Sunday Service the next service (these
are held every three months) will be held on
Sunday, 31st May at 9 am in the village hall, led by Mr
Lee. All welcome - come and see the bright new
refurbished village hall. The recent redecoration by
several volunteers has made such a difference.
Cricket Pavilion a special thank you to
those who have donated money towards the restoration fund.
Much work has already been completed on both the exterior
and interior, and working parties have been busy painting,
cleaning and tidying up the surrounding areas. We still
need further money to pay for all the work and fund raising
activities are continuing. A date for your diary -
Race night, Friday 6th June with delicious supper.
Tickets £10 each to include a glass of Pimms. Please ring

a day at the races. Come and see the newly refurbished
pavilion!
Car Boot Sale in aid of the pavilion
restoration fund will be held on the cricket field on Sunday
12th July. Refreshments will be on sale - contact Ann
Jevons on 832433 or Margaret Campbell on 832268 for further
information or to reserve a pitch.
Easenhall Annual Village Barbecue will be
held on the cricket field on Sunday 28th June from 1 pm.
Tickets including pork roast, hot dogs and puddings are
available from Margaret Campbell on 832268 (Vegetarian
option available by prior request). Food to be followed by
a game of rounders.
Parish Council the following officers
were elected for the coming year; Chairman - John
Lockwood, Vice Chairman and Liaison - George Rathbone,
Amenities - Paul Ogden, Code of Conduct - Susan Phelps,
Footpaths - Carole Lakey, Road Safety - Mark Devey. The
next Parish Council meeting will be held in the village hall
on 16th July at 6.30 pm . All welcome to attend. The speed
measuring equipment will be back in the village during June
or July.
Pailton YFC - Have you seen our new display
on the Bretford Straight? This is our entry for the
annual County Rally competition.

Welly Boots and Tractors then THINK AGAIN...
You don't have to
be a farmer to join Young Farmers! In fact, you don't
even need to know one end of a cow from t'other (though
we wouldn't advise standing too close to the end with a
tail ....)
